“Americana” exhibition poster
American culture as seen through the automobile industry. Zachary Keenan’s design for this group exhibition at the Soap Factory draws upon car owner’s manuals pulling references from the 1930s to the 70s into an iconic Modernist statement.
Two-color screenprint on 100 lb cover natural stock from French Paper.
Lovingly printed by Landland.
“Resonating Bodies” exhibition poster
To illustrate the relationships between the curator and each of the exhibiting artists in this group show we created an infographic that allows you to see who has worked with whom, where they collaborated and the nature of their collaboration. All happening in a big 60’s style Swiss style.
18 x 24” 2-color screenprint on French 100# coverstock. Signed and numbered edition of 75.
“R.U.R.” exhibition poster
A big “Swiss” statement and an answer to the question, “How can a designer show their hand in their own work?”.
Using mouse-tracking software we recorded every time we worked on this project (those really big black circles? That’s from the cursor sitting in one place while I looked through paper swatch books or sent emails related to the project) to create an image that documents the posters own creation.
18 x 24” 3-color screenprint, signed and numbered edition of 100.
“We Are Water” exhibition poster
The softer side of The MVA (ok, maybe not softer but less Helvetica and grids) comes through in this photo/graphic image that touches upon global interconnectedness and poetry.
18x24" two-color screenprint on 100lb blue French cover stock.
Signed and numbered edition of 100.
“Impetus” festival poster
A beautiful 2-color poster for IMPETUS—a 3-day festival of local and emerging dance. Designed with Tim Cronin.
18 x 24” 2-color screenprint on French 100# coverstock.
Signed and numbered edition of 50.
Haunted Basement 2011 poster (MVA X Pippi Zornoza)
Back in 2011 we proposed that our friend Pippi Zornoza (Providence artist/Dirt Palace resident) design a commemorative print for The Soap Factory’s Haunted Basement. It ended being a light collaboration in that Pippi sent us a envelope full of photocopies and we remixed them and added type. The result being this cool, occult-y poster.
Gold, silver and black screenprint on black 100# coverstock from French Paper. Signed artists proofs.
Haunted Basement 2013 commemorative print
One of our favorite designs that we’ve never really shared before. Hang it under glass and you won’t see the hands until its too late. References to 60s horror posters and hospital typography.
4-color screenprint on black 100# cover natural stock from French Paper. Signed artists proofs.
