Advanced Typography: Experimental Poster Process

Tuesdays, June 4–July 2
6:30–9:30 PM
Open to students age 16 and above
Price: $202.00 / Registration closes May 30

The usual method of designing a poster consists of research, ideation, sketching and execution. The process introduced in this class does away with all that and instead spends time exploring content through separate stages of experimental exploration: type-only, visual anchors, image-making, and finally recombination where designers explore how all these elements can come together for surprising results.

Designers need the time to come up with good ideas but may be expected to show perfect, polished work at every step of the process. In this learn strategies for exploring more ideas in less time and designing for compressed deadlines.
