The MVA is a Minneapolis-based creative studio specializing in design, image-making and content development founded by J. Namdev Hardisty and Kimberlee Whaley.
The first book authored by The MVA "New Skateboard Graphics" (Mark Batty Publisher, NYC) is out now. Our 2nd book for Mark Batty "DIY Album Art: Paper Bags and Office Supplies" was released in August 2009.
Current projects: We’re working on a typography book for Princeton Architectural Press, a new series of screenprints and t-shirts for Hardisty-Disk. In addition, Namdev is teaching at MCAD and the couple had their first child Patience Margarett Hardisty on September 14, 2009.
